FIB Unhas – The inauguration of the new board of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Student Body, Universitas Hasanuddin (BEM KMFIB-UH) for the 2025/2026 period was held at Panggung Sastra (the Literary Stage) on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2025. The event, which began at 19.00 WITA, marked an important moment for student leadership regeneration within FIB Unhas.
Present at the event was the faculty leadership, namely the Dean, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum.; Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ilham, S.S., M.Hum.; and Vice Dean III for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Wahyuddin, S.S., M.Hum., as well as representatives of student organizations within FIB Unhas.
The Dean of FIB Unhas gave remarks and officially opened the event. This inauguration went beyond a board formation ceremony; it was also an affirmation that the tradition of student organizations at FIB Unhas is being maintained amidst the dynamics of academic life.
“Each BEM period brings new challenges, and we believe this year’s board will continue the spirit of collaboration and add color to FIB student activities,” said the head of the FIB Unhas Student Representative Council (Maperwa) optimistically.
The elected Chair of BEM KMFIB-UH, Nuril Annisa Septidinia, stated that her team is committed to making this organization a space for mutual growth for students. The programs to be initiated will not only concern internal activities but also involve cooperation with other student activity units, the faculty, and external networks.
Panggung Sastra was chosen as the inauguration location to affirm FIB Unhas’s identity, which is closely tied to the traditions of literacy, arts, and culture. The atmosphere of the inauguration night also became a meeting point between generations, bringing together new students with seniors who have long been active in organizations.
With the start of the 2025/2026 period, BEM KMFIB-UH is expected to be able to articulate student aspirations while also becoming a critical partner for the faculty in developing an inclusive academic climate.(*)
