FIB Unhas — The atmosphere at the H. Magemba Meeting Room, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University, was bustling on Tuesday afternoon, January 20, 2026. Amidst the neatly arranged wooden tables, faculty leaders and the technical team gathered for a crucial agenda: finalizing preparations for the External Surveillance Audit of the ISO Integrated Management System.
The meeting, chaired directly by the Head of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Management Cluster (GPM-PR), was no mere routine encounter. The primary focus was to ensure that all service lines within the faculty meet international standards, ranging from human resource management to logistics systems. As an academic institution in constant transformation, this audit serves as a benchmark for FIB Unhas’s commitment to maintaining transparent and accountable organizational governance.
The Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum., invited vice-deans, the Head of Administration, and treasurers to align the faculty’s policies with university-wide standards. During the discussion, the preparation of physical evidence became the top priority. All supporting documents are now being digitally integrated via Google Drive to ensure seamless access and verification.
A notable point in this preparation is the emphasis on the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). Concrete steps are being taken; the faculty is preparing an Integrity Pact that must be signed by all administrative staff and partners. Furthermore, risk tables and ABMS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being continuously updated to align with the required clauses.
This meeting, which concluded in the late afternoon, reaffirmed that an external audit is not merely an administrative assessment. It is a mirror for FIB Unhas to reflect on how deeply integrity and professionalism have been ingrained in their daily services. With thorough preparation, the faculty remains optimistic about passing this surveillance process with excellent results, while further upholding the university’s prestige on the global stage.
