FIB Unhas — The organizational gears within the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Hasanuddin University are once again moving dynamically. On Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2026, the atmosphere at the FIB Unhas Building appeared solemn as the position handover ceremony for several strategic positions took place. The event, which began at 14:30 WITA, marked an important milestone for the continuity of the leadership relay from the departmental level to the quality assurance unit.
This structural refreshment touches various vital academic and administrative lines. In the Department of Japanese Literature, the leadership baton passed from Fithyani Anwar, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. to the new captain, Dr. Imelda, S.S., M.Pd. Similar changes occurred at the postgraduate level. Dr. Ery officially handed over his duties as Head of the Master of Linguistics Study Program to Dr. Wahida. Meanwhile, the Head of the Master of English Study Program, previously held by Prof. Harlina—who on this occasion was represented by the Secretary of the English Literature Department, Inayah Soraya, S.S., M.Hum.—has now been entrusted to Dr. Muliani, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Not only in the realm of study programs, rotation also occurred in the faculty’s “heart” of quality assurance. Dr. Fierenziana G. Junus, S.S., M.Hum. was officially inaugurated as the Chair of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Group (GPMPR), replacing the previous official, the late Dr. Karmila, S.S., M.Hum., M.Arts., who was represented by Dr. Wahyuddin, S.S., M.Hum. In the administrative sector, the position of Head of the Planning and Resources Sub-division is now held by Andarias, replacing Bahtiar, S.T., M.Si., the Head of Administration (KTU) who was doubling as the acting official, as the previous Sub-division Head, Rustam, S.Sos., had retired.
The series of events began with the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya and a prayer reading, creating a serene atmosphere before the signing of the minutes took place. In his remarks, the Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum., emphasized that this change is not merely a bureaucratic routine, but an effort to maintain the institution’s work rhythm.
“We are grateful for the implementation of this position handover. This is a signal that leadership at FIB Unhas continues to occur continuously,” said the Dean in his remarks, while expressing gratitude to the old officials for their dedication and welcoming the new officials with optimism. The event concluded around 15:30 WITA, marking the beginning of a new chapter of service for the newly inaugurated officials.
