Safeguarding Service Quality: FIB Unhas Undergoes ISO:37001 External Surveillance Audit

FIB Unhas — The relay of commitment to maintaining quality standards at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Hasanuddin University, has reached its most critical stage. Following internal refinements, it was time for the external auditing team to take the field and directly verify the implementation of the ISO:37001 Integrated Management System (IMS). This External Audit Plan was carried out intensively over two days, from Thursday to Friday, January 22-23, 2026.

Held at the H. Mangemba Meeting Room on the 2nd floor, this audit served as a moment of truth for all work units. Starting at 09:30 AM WITA, the leadership ranks—led directly by the Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.Hum.—stood ready to welcome the audit team. The presence of the Vice-Deans, the Head of the History Department, and the logistics and finance teams underscored that this audit encompasses all vital aspects of the faculty’s operations.

Throughout the process, an in-depth verification was conducted on various documents previously prepared digitally. The primary focus remained on the consistency of anti-bribery management and governance transparency. The atmosphere in the meeting room was serious yet dialogic, reflecting the spirit of continuous improvement—the very essence of ISO certification.

“This is not just about keeping a certificate on paper, but ensuring that the heartbeat of our services truly aligns with international standards,” remarked one of the participants amidst the document examination. Through this surveillance audit, FIB Unhas hopes to further bolster public trust and strengthen ties with strategic partners. The results will serve as a vital foundation for the faculty in perfecting SOPs and risk management in the future. With integrity held high, FIB Unhas is optimistic about continuing its role as a pioneer in clean and professional university governance.
