FIB Unhas — The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin, has taken strategic steps to strengthen information governance and the digitalization of its academic services. Through a Website Management Evaluation and Coordination Meeting, the faculty leadership reviewed the progress of the official websites of all Departments and Study Programs (S1, S2, and S3) within the faculty.
The activity took place in the Senate Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FIB Unhas, on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 09.00 – 11.00 Wita.
The meeting was led directly by the Dean of FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Muhammad Akhmar, S.S., M.A., who was accompanied by the Vice Deans, including Dr. Wahyudin, M.Hum (Vice Dean III). Meeting participants consisted of the leadership of GPM-PR, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and website management teams.
In the modern academic landscape, a website is no longer just a passive showcase. It has become a strategic instrument to support accreditation, scientific publication, and public service transparency. Prof. Akhmar emphasized the importance of synergy between units to build a responsive and structured information system.
The discussion was active, with each unit representative reporting their progress. The Head of the Archaeology Department, for example, presented content updates and plans to strengthen their site’s visuals. The presence of the Head of the Indonesian Literature Department, Dr. Muslimat, M.Hum, also affirmed this shared commitment.
The main focus of the evaluation was how websites can effectively display data on lecturers and their expertise. According to Prof. Akhmar, this visibility has a significant practical impact.
“Having this website makes data on lecturers and their expertise visible,” said Prof. Akhmar during the discussion session. “This will make it easier for people who want to initiate research collaborations.”
This meeting became a concrete step for FIB Unhas in ensuring integrated, accurate, and competitive website management, as a crucial part of sustainable academic quality management.
